Integrating with PrestaShop

PrestaShop is an efficient and innovative e-commerce solution with features that allow you to create an online store and grow your business.

Proceed through each of the following procedures to integrate Autopilot with your PrestaShop site as a data source.

PrestaShop prerequisites

This integration process assumes you have an operating PrestaShop site, and a PrestaShop user account with SuperAdmin profile privilege access to this site.

Install the Autopilot module in PrestaShop

  1. Access your PrestaShop site’s administration interface (known as PrestaShop’s back office):

    Example back office URL
    https://<your-prestashop-site>/admin091anufki/ (1)
1 During the installation of PrestaShop, the folder name containing the web application’s back office user inteface (UI) functionality is changed, e.g. admin091anufki in this example, for security reasons. Therefore, your equivalent URL is likely to be different.
  2. Log in with your SuperAdmin profile account.

  3. If the CONFIGURE menu does not indicate an Autopilot item, click Modules  Module Catalog from the IMPROVE menu.
If the CONFIGURE  Autopilot menu item is available, proceed to Connect from the PrestaShop back office interface.

  4. On the Modules Catalog page, search for 'Autopilot', and press Enter / return to filter for the Autopilot module in the list.

  5. Click Install in the module.

  6. Wait until the CONFIGURE  Autopilot menu item appears (refreshing your page if necessary) before proceeding.

Connect from the PrestaShop back office interface

Use this procedure to complete the integration between Autopilot and your PrestaShop site from PrestaShop’s back office (administration) interface, by establishing the connection between the products.

  1. Click Autopilot from the CONFIGURE menu.

  2. On the Autopilot page, and click CONNECT.

If the Autopilot module had already been installed and your PrestaShop site connected to an Autopilot account, then this step may already indicate this existing connection with the button indicating ALREADY CONNECTED instead of CONNECT.
  3. If you have:

    • already created an Autopilot account and are:

      • signed in to Autopilot, the Autopilot Accounts page appears, from which you should click the Autopilot account (also known as an 'Autopilot instance') to integrate with your PrestaShop site.

There may only be one of these. However, if you have created multiple Autopilot accounts with the same sign-in credentials, then each of these Autopilot accounts will appear on this page.
      • not yet signed in to Autopilot, the Autopilot Sign up page appears, from which you should:

        1. Click the Sign in link on this page to open the Autopilot Sign in page.

        2. Sign in to Autopilot.

        3. Click the Autopilot account to integrate with your PrestaShop site (above).

    • not yet created an Autopilot account, then proceed to Creating an Autopilot account to connect to PrestaShop.

  4. Once the Syncing your data appears, click Done.

That’s it! Your Autopilot account is now connected to and integrated with your PrestaShop site.

Creating an Autopilot account to connect to PrestaShop

  1. After initially connecting to Autopilot from the PrestaShop back office interface, the Autopilot Sign up page appears, from which you can create your Autopilot account:

    1. Either click Sign up with Google and follow the remaining prompts, or:

      1. Specify your First name, Last name, Email address, and Password in the appropriate fields.

      2. Click Sign up.
If you have never signed up to Autopilot with this email address before, check your email inbox for your Autopilot account verification email message, and click Verify email address in this message to verify your email address.

    2. In the resulting Hi 'your name' page, enter the following details about your business:

      • Business name,

      • Account name (initially suggested based on your Business name),

      • Website URL,

      • Phone number, and

      • How many contacts do you have? (choose the approximate range of customers/people that your Autopilot account will be managing).

Ensure your Account name is correct before continuing. This value affects the URL you use to access Autopilot through your web browser, and it cannot be changed.
    3. Click Next to proceed.

  2. On the Business address page, specify the physical address of your business, and click Next.

  3. On the Email setup page, ensure your email details are correct, and click Next.

  4. On the Brand setup page, use the various options provided to customize the appearance of email messages Autopilot sends. A preview of a sample email message is provided on the right as you alter options on the left.

  5. Once you have set up your branding, click Next.

  6. On the Links and social setup page, use the options provided to add any social media links to your email messages, and click Next.

  7. On the Select a plan page, choose between the Free or premium feature plan trial, and click Next.
That’s it! Your Autopilot account is now connected to and integrated with your PrestaShop site.

  8. Click Launch Autopilot to access the main product interface.

That’s it! Your Autopilot account is now connected to and integrated with your PrestaShop site.
